We are very excited to have teamed up with Mossy Earth to help reforest Portugal’s woodlands that were lost in the devastating wildfires of 2017, and give back to this small corner of Europe that provides us with so much joy and inspiration.
Our tree planting efforts will not only revive lost forests but we will be planting native oak species in Montis, where their work focuses specifically on fire-resistant oak forests to help avoid the type of fier disaster that happend in Portugal last summer. In planting wild forests we are also playing a pivotal role in creating wilderness for native flora and fauna to thrive. What’s more, for every tree planted, 1 ton of carbon will be offset over the course of 40 years.
In addition to our own annual tree planting contribution to become a carbon neutral organisation, we are now offering all of our clients the opportunity to plant a tree for 10€ each when booking. What better way to celebrate your retreat than carbon offsetting your flight and contributing to the rewilding and reforestation of Portugal’s lost wildernesses?
